What is a Psychoeducational Assessment?

A psychoeducational assessment is a comprehensive evaluation conducted by a Licensed School Psychologist under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist, to understand how a child learns, processes information, and functions in academic and social settings. The assessment identifies strengths and challenges, and provides specific, actionable recommendations for school, home, and therapy. Assessments are available for children and youth ages 6 and older, as well as older adolescents and adults for CLBC eligibility and post-secondary purposes.
