She completed her doctoral internship at the Student Psychology Services (Université de Moncton, Moncton, NB) as well as at the Springhill Institution (Correctional Facility, Springhill, NS). Dr. Dauphin has worked in private practice in both New-Brunswick and Ontario, before relocating to British Columbia. She has also worked in accessibility counselling and as a course director at York University’s Glendon Campus (Toronto, ON). Dr. Dauphin works with an adult population and has a special interest in the treatment of Anxiety Disorders and Depressive Disorders. She enjoys working with a wide variety of clients including those who are seeking to improve their assertiveness skills and perfectionism. Dr. Dauphin’s primary approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). After working for almost 8 years back home, I decided to move to Canada in 2016 with a dream to become a RCC. It seemed difficult but not impossible when I figured that my masters from India is equivalent to the Canadian requirements. During this journey to become RCC I got the opportunity to work with Teens with Autism in group homes and school settings and this made me more enlightened and eager to work with families who have been facing challenges to handle stress about how to deal with their family members with special needs. As I was an addiction counselor in India, my experience as a counselor includes working with clients who have struggles with addiction and mental health issues in a hospital setting, I am truly invested in my clients well being. Whether it's the daily challenges of life that have you overwhelmed , or a life event that has flipped your life upside down, I am here to support and guide you through. I have experience and expertise in working with a variety of presenting concerns, but not limited to grief & loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, self-harm and PTSD.
